Born and raised in beautiful Portland, Oregon, I went away to nursing school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where I graduated with honors. I have worked as a registered nurse in a variety of settings in Oregon, from Outdoor School for 6th graders, night shift on an intermediate care unit, camp for adults and children with disabilities, and Doernbecher Children's Hospital specialty outpatient clinic. Through my training, I struggled with depression, anxiety, unhealthy eating habits, and extreme stress, but put most of my concerns on the back burner, as I saw others do. I still regularly saw doctors and voiced my complaints, but they shrugged their shoulders and prescribed anti-depressants and a gym membership.

I could no longer ignore these worsening issues when they forced me to go on medical leave. I was finally diagnosed with severe Cushing's syndrome (a dangerous hormonal imbalance caused by a tumor) at 24. After treatment, I am left with adrenal insufficiency, and I will live with its disabling effects for the rest of my life.

Those with chronic conditions understand that many days can be indescribably difficult. Some can sympathize, but few truly understand. As a nurse coach with a chronic condition myself, I offer you understanding, empathy, and empowerment. On difficult days, we can make life a little bit brighter. On better days, we can plan and work toward your brightest days ahead.

When chronic illness changed my life, I started to wonder: What's most important to me? What makes me feel happy and healthy? What do I need to do to make my life the best it can be?

I want to hear what your answers are to these questions :)

We all know some things we could be doing to make ourselves healthier, happier, and our lives better. But something always seems to get in the way of success. I've been up against so many roadblocks, too, and I know how it feels. That's where I come in.

I graduated from the Integrative Nurse Coach Certificate Program, the first and best program to learn the art and science of nurse coaching. Through techniques like guided meditation and awareness practices, motivational interviewing, non-violent communication, powerful questioning, goal-setting, and deep, active listening, I work one-on-one with clients to help them identify and achieve their most important ambitions. I will motivate you and keep you accountable, and tailor my approach to fit each unique client perfectly. Check out the Testimonials to see for yourself!

I invite you to apply for my signature 12-week Upward Spiral Empowerment Program. Click Contact to schedule a free consultation call to find out more about this life-changing program.

“For as long as I can remember, I have functioned on cycles of high anxiety and burnout relying on unhealthy coping mechanisms and convincing myself that this is just how I operate. Working with Callie, I am finally able to admit how unsustainable this pattern is and the toll it is taking on my life. I always look forward to my time with Callie, knowing I will come away with more insight and healthy goals on how to grow into a stronger professional and woman. I also love the guided meditations and mindfulness practice suggestions. Callie has been an immense help and a kind, thoughtful, supportive presence in a very stressful time in my life. I have felt truly empowered by Callie to realize I have the capacity for self-reflection, creative problem solving, and changing patterns that no longer serve me. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to grow and find a new sense of balance in their life!”

"Throughout nurse coaching sessions with Callie, I gained a greater sense of self-awareness and learned new ways to improve how I care for myself. Callie is so kind, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about the well-being of others, making it easy to open up to her. She asked challenging questions and helped me gain new perspectives on my personal conflicts. Callie’s sharing of mental health knowledge provided helpful insight traditional therapy may not include.”

"Callie is very kind and thoughtful.  She helped me to reflect on my lifestyle and create health goals that align with my true desires.  She encouraged me to make attainable plans to move forward towards my goals which helped with my follow-through.  After working with Callie I have better work life balance, and have integrated more self-care. She is an amazing resource for anyone needing accountability and guided introspection."
